Did YOU Know…
You Are 6 Steps Away From Checkmating Your Competition With Video Marketing?
What attracts prospects to you? Is it your business model? Is it your product? Have you ever noticed how some videos “glue” you into your chair and others “activate your ADD syndrome”? What drives people to stay tuned? You are about to find out…
But, before I give you the steps, I want to remind you that your goal with video marketing is to engage the viewer in such a way that he or she buys your product, service, or idea. So, with that in mind, let’s begin.
1 - ALWAYS SMILE!- A smile says, “ I am confident, I am comfortable, I know where I am going, I love what I am doing… When you don’t smile, you look misserable. You might as well tell people not to join you right then and there.
2 - Look At The Camera- Do not have your eyes moving around because it denotes nervousness. Relax. I know a camera can be intimidating, but you have to get comfortable with it. Think of it as you talking to one of your friends.
3 – Talk As Though You Were Talking To One Person- This point relates very much with point two, but I am going to go a little further. Do you get all uptight and tense when you talk to your friends? Do your eyes go everywhere and you forget what you were going to say? No! So, treat the camera as your friend and not as though you had a million people watching you. Don’t say, “hello everyone” or “How are you all doing?” or any of that. Remember there is one person watching the video, and you have a few seconds to get them to make a decision.
4 - Long Pauses Will Have Your Prospect Snoring! - When you pause, people lose interest, and they will close the page and move on to the next video. Remember you are fighting against a culture of distractions. The phone is ringing, the TV is on, they are hungry, the children are crying… You have got to deliver FAST. Which takes me to the next point…
5 - Get To The Point! – Eliminate all the “So What’s” and all the extra details that don’t matter to the viewer. Remember, every person has these questions (and all these I learned from Dani Johnson), “who are you?”, “why should I listen to you?” and “what’s in it for me?”
6 - Bring Value To The Table - Always give useful, helpful content that provides value to the marketplace. Don’t pitch your opportunity without value; people are tired of lame sales people. People DO NOT care how new or good your company is or how much you like it. What are YOU bringing to the table? Provide value, and people will follow you wherever you go.
I trust this information will help you with your video marketing and increase your sales. However, video marketing has more to it than a great video.
