5 Proven Steps to Reduce Anxiety So You Can Live a Calm, Peaceful, Life

I have dealt with anxiety since I was a small child. Certain traumatic events triggered fear in me, and it became a life-long condition until I started to take matters into my own hands. I have taken care of my own anxiety and helped hundreds of others to do it by using and sharing different natural remedies and techniques. Anxiety happens when we subconsciously or consciously focus on the future. One of the purposes of life is to live in the present, and enjoy it.

1- When anxiety rises, do not resist the feelings that are coming up. Feel it and hear your inner voice. As you allow the feelings to come to the surface, you accept them, and then allow them to move out of your mind and body. Do not be hard on yourself for feeling anxious. Remember that you are not your thoughts, and you are experiencng anxiety because you are not living in the present moment. Forgive the thoughts, and breathe deeply to clear your mind and center yourself.

2- Practice the 4-7-8 breathing technique. This always works! Anxiety cannot coexist with any type of rhythmic breathing. Breathing like this will immediately be a pattern interrupt and stop anxiety in its tracks. You breathe in for 4 counts, hold your breath for 7 counts, and exhale for 8 counts.

3- Tap with the words “peace and calm” for three minutes using the EFT (emotional freedom technique) tapping. EFT is a technique that uses acupressure, neurolinguistic programming, energy medicine, and Thought Field Therapy to treat a psychological or physical disorder. The person taps on the meridian end points of the body. Start by gently tapping on the top of your head, then on the inside end of your eyebrows, the outer side of your eyebrows, under your eyes, under your nose (top of your lip), under your lower lip, right under your collar bones, and two inches under your armpits. Repeat this cycle a few times until anxiety subsides. EFT can be used to treat for a wide variety of emotions.

4- Take Ashwagandha. Before taking any supplement or herb, consult a physician for a thorough evaluation. Ashwagandha, also known as Withania Somnifera and Indian Ginseng, is an adaptogen that helps our bodies manage stress. Ashwagandha has also been proven to lower blood sugar levels, reduce cortisol, boost brain function, and help fight symptoms of anxiety and depression. I personally take Ahswagandha every day, and it has helped me tremendously.

5- Use the quantum journaling technique. In this technique you will write down all the goals and desires you have as if they were already accomplished. You will focus on feeling the amazing emotions you would feel if these desires were already achieved such as joy, gratitude, excitement, elation, and all the positive emotions you can bring forth as you write. This technique will get your conscious mind to focus on a beautiful present, and it will get your mind out of the worry and anxiety of the future. The opposite of anxiety is calmness, trust, and presence. Use these five techniques to live an anxiety-free life.

I pray these proven techniques were of assistance to you.
